WACO, Texas - Baylor's women's tennis program opens its fall season hosting the 11th-straight Baylor Fall Invitational Sept. 15-17 at the Baylor Tennis Center on campus. Seven schools are sending a combined 96 student-athletes to participate including Abilene Christian, Baylor, Lamar, Lee College, Louisville, Oklahoma, Rice, Sam Houston State, SMU, TCU, UT-Arlington, Texas Tech, Tulsa and Wyoming.
The tournament will consist of three singles draws, gold, green, and white, and two doubles draws. The draws will be announced Thurs., Sept. 14, at www.baylorbears.com.
Baylor's full nine-player roster will participate in the tournament showcasing three nationally ranked Bears, No. 4 Zuzana Zemenova, No. 14 Zuzana Cerna, and No. 73 Klara Zrustova. Baylor will also be represented by veterans Iva Mihaylova and Sammi Gottlich as well as newcomers Jana Bielikova, Lenka Broosova, Zuzana Chmelarova, and Jessica Zok.
Last year Baylor players won the singles and doubles main draws as well as the singles consolation draw.
