WACO, Texas - Baylor's No. 6 women's tennis team travels to Athens, Ga., for its second dual match for the spring against No. 24 Georgia on Sunday, Jan. 28 at 1 p.m. CT. Baylor enters the match 1-0 after a 7-0 sweep at No. 64 Rice last weekend. The Bulldogs are also 1-0 after defeating No. 28 Texas A&M in their season opener.
Overall Georgia the leads the series 6-1 but Baylor won the last meeting in 2006 at the National Team Indoors.
Baylor is led by junior Zuzana Zemenova who is ranked 21st nationally. Three other Bears appear in the Fila/ITA Rankings including No. 37 Lenka Broosova, No. 38 Jessica Zok, and No. 91 Zuzana Cerna.
For the Bulldogs, they boast three ranked singles players and one ranked doubles team. Darya Ivanov is No. 20, Natalie Frazier is No. 44, and Monika Dancevic is No. 88. Georgia's duo of Kelley Hyndman and Dancevic is No. 42.
