EDMOND, Okla. - The Baylor men's golf team shot 306 in the final round of the Oklahoma Intercollegiate, falling one spot to fifth at the Oak Tree Golf Club.
SMU and Texas Tech tied at 40-over par for the overall tournament championship, with SMU winning on the second playoff hole. Jason Turner of Arkansas earned individual medalist honors with a final score of 2-over par.
Cody Paladino (Kennington, Conn.) was the top finisher for the Bears at 9-over par. The freshman shot 3-under par on Monday, but struggled in the final round, carding a 6-over 77 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for fourth place.
Colton Williams (Jacksboro, Texas) and Wes Williams (Franklin, Tenn.) recorded top 20 individual finishes. Colton Williams shot 77 on Tuesday to finish at 13-over par for the tournament in a tie for 12th overall, while Wes Williams carded 76 on the final day to tie for 15th at 14-over par.
Jeff Gerlich (Austin, Texas) tied for 22nd overall after a third-round 76 moved him to 16-over par. Bill Allcorn (Abilene, Texas) shot 79 on Tuesday to finish at 21-over par in a tie for 32nd overall.
Jeff Campbell () played the tournament as an individual and finished 61st overall at 43-over par.
Baylor returns to action in its final fall tournament as the Bears travel to Kahuku, Hawai'i for the Turtle Bay Intercollegiate on Nov. 4-6.
