WACO, Texas -- Baylor baseball will hold its annual Burgers on the Berm event Friday, Oct. 5, at Baylor Ballpark. Festivities begin at 6 p.m. CDT; admission is free, but donations are appreciated and go directly to support the Baylor Diamond Girls.

An autumn tradition on the Baylor campus, Burgers on the Berm allows fans a chance to see the Bears in action and a chance to meet the players. The Bears will host their 14th intrasquad of the fall season that evening.

Fans also have an opportunity to see Baylor in action Sunday, Oct. 14, when the Bears face Big 12 rival Texas at Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. The game does not count toward the teams' 2008 records. Game time has not yet been announced.

Baylor returns 19 letterwinners, including six position starters and eight pitchers, from a 2007 squad that went 36-27, reached the Big 12 Conference Championship title game and participated in the NCAA Houston Regional. The Bears are one of 15 Division I programs to have reached NCAA Regional play at least nine times in the last 10 years.
