Volleyball at Iowa State on Wednesday Night

WACO, Texas - Baylor hits the road in conference play as the Bears travel to face Iowa State at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday at Hilton Coliseum. Following a loss at Missouri on Friday, Baylor has won five of its last six matches.

Baylor enters the match with a 14-11 overall record, 6-8 in conference play. The Bears had their five-match winning streak snapped on Friday with a 3-2 loss at Missouri. Baylor took a 2-1 lead before the Tigers rallied to win game four 30-22 and edged the Bears 15-13 in game five. Missouri held a 21-10.5 lead in total blocks and Na Yang tallied a Big 12 season-best 29 kills.

Baylor's five-match winning streak is the longest since the Bears won 11 in a row last season. The four-match conference winning streak is the longest since 2001, when the Bears also won four straight against Big 12 opponents.

Sanders recorded 23 kills, while Ashlie Christenson and Breyfogle added 16 and 15, respectively. Amanda Modglin also reached double-figures with 11 kills.

Taylor Barnes distributed a season-high 61 assists and added 14 digs. Sarah Grace led the defensive charge with 21 digs, while Sanders tallied 19 for her 17th double-double of the season.

For the second-straight match, Baylor recorded 11 service aces, matching its season-high also set against Kansas and Sam Houston State.

Iowa State enters the match with a 14-10 overall record, 8-6 in Big 12 action. The Cyclones fell 3-1 at Texas A&M on Saturday and are 3-3 over their last six matches. In its last six contests, Iowa State has registered two wins over Colorado and a victory against Texas Tech, while suffering two losses to Kansas State before falling to the Aggies last weekend.

Erin Boeve averages 3.79 kills per game, while Lauren Cummings owns a 3.40 kills per game average. Libero Ashley Mass leads the Big 12's top defensive team in league matches, and averages 4.00 digs per game overall this season. Iowa State leads the Big 12 and ranks seventh in the nation with 3.34 blocks per game. Boeve and Jen Malcolm each average 1.32 blocks per game.
