MADISON, Wis. - Baylor's women's tennis team travels to Madison, Wis., for the ITA's National Team Indoor Championships Feb. 1-4 hosted by the University of Wisconsin. Baylor enters the draw as the seventh seed.
The tournament opens for the Bears at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 1 with a first round match against BYU. The two schools met in last year's consolation bracket when the Bears defeated the Cougars 5-2. Baylor leads the overall series 2-0.
Depending on first round outcomes, the Bears will play either Clemson or second-seeded Notre Dame next.
Last year Baylor fell in the first round to Duke but bounced back to win its two consolation matches, upsetting Georgia and also picking up the win over BYU.
The Bears recently dropped in rankings after falling to Georgia last weekend, but Baylor managed to stay among the league's top programs ranking No. 10.
