NORMAN, Okla. - Baylor's No. 25 women's tennis team (7-5, 2-1) picked up its second conference win on the season. Baylor rolled past No. 66 Oklahoma 7-0 in Norman at the Headington Family Tennis Center.

"We played focused and discplined tennis today and it showed on the scoreboard," said head coach Joey Scrivano.

Baylor won the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. BU's Zuzana Cerna and Zuzana Chmelarova defeated Gabby Baker and Irina Lykina 8-6 on court one while No. 55 Lenka Broosova and Klara Zrustova bested Monica Purice and Christi Braxley 8-5. OU's Rachel Cox and Chelsea Orr duo defeated Jana Bielikova and Iva Mihaylova 8-4.

In singles action Oklahoma changed up the line-up again moving Christi Baxley to three and Irina Lykina to four, but BU still managed to sweep the Sooners winning all six spots.

The most intense match of the afternoon came at the No. 4 singles spot between Zrustova and Lykina. Zrustova won the first set 6-3 but Lykina came back to take the second set 6-2. The two then played a super tie-breaker for the third set with Zrustova ultimately claiming the victory 10-3. The win was Zrustova's first conference win after missing the opening matches due to illness.

Another Bear rocked OU in her Big 12 opener; No. 38 Zuzana Zemenova returned to court one after nursing an ankle injury. Zemenova earned her first conference win with a 6-2, 6-4 victory over Baker.

Jana Bielikova earned Baylor's first singles point on court six besting Cox 6-1, 6-0 while No. 52 Cerna returned to the No. 2 spot where she defeated Purice 6-1, 6-1.

No. 67 Lenka Broosova clinched Baylor's victory with her strong court three showing. Broosova defeated Baxley 6-4, 6-1.

Baylor returns to action on the road Saturday at Oklahoma State. The Cowgirls host BU at noon. Match results will be available at www.baylorbears.com.
