The old joke in college softball used to be that the Women's College World Series in Oklahoma City doubled as the unofficial Pac-10 tournament. But after another big weekend for the Big 12, is it time to wonder if that league's conference tournament in Oklahoma City may be unofficially redundant?
Even during a weekend that saw the nation's No. 1 team tumble from the ranks of the unbeaten as conference play began in the SEC, Baylor made the biggest splash by taking two of three games from second-ranked Arizona.
