WACO, Texas - Baylor's No. 25 women's tennis team defeated Kansas State 7-0 in its Sunday afternoon match at the Baylor Tennis Center. The Bears improved their overall record to 10-6 and their Big 12 mark to 4-1.

Baylor picked up the doubles point early with wins on courts three and one. Zuzana Zemenova and Iva Mihaylova bested Tamar Kvaratskhelia and Natasha Kieira 8-2 in the three spot while Zuzana Cerna and Zuzana Chmelarova earned an 8-2 victory over Viviana Yrureta and Fernanda Da Valle.

In singles the Bears continued to dominate the Wildcats, winning in straight sets on all courts. No. 67 Lenka Broosova earned the first singles point on court three winning 6-1, 6-1 over Kvaratskhelia and Jana Bielikova returned to action on court six defeating Tereza Prochazkova 6-0, 6-0.

Mihaylova clinched Baylor's victory besting Natasha Vieira 6-0, 6-4 while Zuzana Chmelarova finished seconds later on court four edging Olga Klimova 6-1, 7-5.

The Bears wrapped up play as No. 38 Zemenova and No. 52 Cerna earned wins on courts one and two, respectively.

Baylor returns to action next Sunday at the Baylor Tennis Center hosting Virginia Commonwealth at 1 p.m. Live scoring will be available at www.baylorbears.com.
