Reliant Energy has again donated their entire allotment of 2006-2007 Baylor season basketball, baseball and softball tickets to a local charitable organization. In addition, Reliant will be donating all tickets for their April 21st baseball game sponsorship of Baylor and Missouri at the Baylor Ballpark. The Waco chapter of the Boys and Girls Club of America is the recipient of Reliant's gift this year.

As a sponsor and long-term supporter of Baylor Athletics, Reliant receives 10 season tickets each to the men's and women's basketball, baseball and softball games. In total, Reliant will donate over 700 tickets this year to Baylor athletic events for the 2006-2007 season.

The Boys and Girls Club was built on the principle that every child needs to know that someone cares about them. The Boys and Girls Club of Waco offers local children a safe place to learn and grow - all while having fun. Club programs and services promote and enhance the development of boys and girls by instilling a sense of competence, usefulness, belonging and influence.

Reliant Energy is the exclusive electricity supplier of Baylor University and the official electricity sponsor for Baylor Athletics. Headquartered in Houston, Reliant has been a proud sponsor of the Baylor Bears since 2003.

Since the inception of this partnership, Reliant has donated more than 2,800 Baylor tickets to Central Texas charitable causes such as the Waco Boys and Girls Club and Big Brother, Big Sister.
