TEMPE, Ariz. - The Baylor men's golf team shot a final round 303 to finish in 15th place at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational at the Karsten Course. The Bears finished the tournament at 25-over par over the 54 holes.
Oregon took the team title, carding a score of 20-under par over the three rounds of play. Charlie Belijan of New Mexico was the individual medalist with a final round score of 68 to finish at 15-under par for the tournament.
Chase Thomas (Dallas, Texas) fired a 6-under par 66 in the final round to finish at 4-under par for the tournament in a tie for 11th place. Wes Williams (Franklin, Tenn.), who was at even-par after 36 holes, fired a 78 on Sunday to finish at 6-over par in a tie for 55th place.
Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) finished at 11-over par in a tie for 75th place. Colton Williams (Jacksboro, Texas) took 80th with a score of 14-over par, while Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas) was 81st in the tournament at 15-over par.
Baylor returns to action on April 23-24 at the Big 12 Championships in Hutchinson, Kan.
