• QB Blake Szymanski has passed for at least 200 yards in four consecutive games, tying Don Trull for the second-longest streak in school history. Shawn Bell established the record with 11 consecutive 200-yard games during the 2005 and 2006 seasons.
• Szymanski had 246 passing yards in the first half; it was the fifth-highest single-half passing yardage total in school history.
• Szymanski became the first player in Baylor history to record five-plus touchdown passes in consecutive weeks.
• Szymanski became the first Bear to record five-plus touchdown passes twice.
• Szymanski is now tied for 11th in Baylor history with 11 touchdowns in one season.
• Szymanski joined Shawn Bell (2004 vs. Texas A&M, 2005 vs. Kansas) as the only players in school history with multiple games with four-plus touchdown passes. There have been eight such games in school history (Billy Patterson vs. Loyola [Calif.], 1938; Larry Isbell vs. Texas A&M, 1950; Terry Southall vs. Syracuse, 1966; Jeff Watson vs. Missouri [3OT], 1996).
• Szymanski joined Shawn Bell (at Texas, vs. Kansas, 2006) as the only Baylor quarterbacks to record back-to-back 300-yard passing games.
• Szymanski is the fourth Baylor quarterback to record multiple 300-yard passing games in the same season. Bell (2006), Cody Carlson (1986) and Neal Jeffrey (1973) are the other three.
