Men's Tennis Earns Triple-Header Sweep

The No. 4 Baylor men's tennis team finished their Saturday triple-header with success with three 7-0 wins, defeating Prairie View A&M, Southeastern Louisiana and UT-Arlington. Their three wins gives the Bears a 3-0 record to begin the spring season.

The men began the day at 10:30 a.m. by defeating Prairie View A&M. With the win, the Bears have won six consecutive season-opening matches. Leading the men in this match was the doubles team of David Gallic and Jordan Rux with an 8-1 win over Andy Narido and Nicolas Bateman. In singles, Baylor's Rux and Attilla Bucko swept their opponents with impressive 6-0, 6-0 triumphs.

Baylor men continued the day with a match at 2 p.m. against Southeastern Louisiana which resulted in another 7-0 victory. The Bears were led by doubles team Lars Poerschke and Bucko whom had an 8-2 victory over the Lion's Medhi Darlis and Julien Roussel. Dominik Mueller played an impressive singles match for the Bears, resulting in a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Darlis.

After a short rest, the Bears hit the courts again for their triple-header finale against UT-Arlington. Despite having played two matches previously in the day, Baylor came out strong for their third 7-0 win. The doubles team of Denes Lukacs and Mueller swept the team of Gonzalo Bienzobas and Nishant Hari for an 8-0 victory. Mueller then went on to sweep Nishant Hari 6-0, 6-0 to lead the Bears in singles.
