CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Taylor Ormond and Csilla Borsanyi each dropped consolation bracket matches on Friday at the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on the Boyd Tinsley courts at The Boar's Head Sports Club.
Ormond, ranked No. 34 in the preseason rankings, dropped her Friday match to No. 20 Kelcy McKenna of Arizona State 7-5, 6-4. Borsanyi, the 27th-ranked player in the country, fell to Delia Sescioreanu of Auburn-Montgomery 6-0, 6-2.
"We were feeling really good about ourselves after Palm Springs but it's that old saying once you think you have arrived, you have not arrived yet," said head coach Joey Scrivano. "We have a tremendous amount of work to do if we plan on doing anything this year."
Following the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, the Baylor women's tennis team concludes its fall schedule. The Lady Bears return to action on Jan. 16 as Baylor competes in the National Collegiate Tennis Classic and the Las Vegas Invitational.
