Softball Hits The Road For Nine Day Roadtrip

The No. 13 Baylor softball team (12-3 overall) will take its five-game win streak and hit the road for an 11 game, nine day road trip beginning on Tuesday with a match up with UTSA (8-8 overall) at 6:30 p.m. in San Antonio.
The Lady Bears, who are batting a Big 12 leading .337 as a team, are led at the plate by freshman KJ Freeland and sophomore Kirsten Shortridge who are batting .577 and .523, respectively. In the circle, the Lady Bears carry a 2.54 team ERA and are coming off three-straight shutouts of Louisiana-Monroe over the weekend in which they gave up just seven hits, four walks and 17 strikeouts in 21 innings.
UTSA enters the contest winners of its last four contests. The Roadrunners are led by a pair of offensive players in Whitney Balch and Krista Sitka. Balch is hitting .452 with four home runs and 13 RBI, while
