The Baylor men's golf team shot 293 in Sunday's third round to move up one spot, finishing sixth at the ASU Thunderbird Invitational at the Karsten Course.
Baylor has finished in the top 10 in nine out of 10 tournaments this year, with its only lower finish coming at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate when the Bears finished in a tie for 12th overall.
The host Sun Devils took the team title, shooting 285 on Sunday to finish at 843 for the tournament. Espen Kofstad of Denver won individual medalist honors, finishing the tournament at 3-under par following a 3-under par 68 in the final round.
Bill Allcorn led the way for Baylor at 5-over par for the tournament. On Sunday Allcorn carded 74 to finish in a tie for 28th overall. Jeff Gerlich tied for 31st after shooting 77 on Sunday to finish the tournament at 6-over par.
Cody Paladino, who finished the second round at 1-under par in a tie for ninth overall, struggled on Sunday, shooting 80 to finish in a tie for 40th at 8-over par.
Wes Williams and Colton Williams both carded even-par 71's on Sunday, the lowest rounds of the day for the Bears. W. Williams finished the tournament at 10-over par in a tie for 52nd, while C. Williams tied for 57th overall at 11-over par for the tournament.
Baylor returns to action on April 25-27 as the Bears travel to Trinity, Texas to compete in the 2008 Big 12 Men's Golf Championships.
