Women's Tennis to Host NCAA First and Second Rounds

WACO, Texas -
The Baylor women's tennis team earned the No. 5 overall seed in the 208 NCAA Women's Tennis Championships and will host the first and second round matches on May 9-10 it was announced on ESPN News on Tuesday.
For the third-straight year Baylor's men's and women's teams have been selected to host first and second round matches.
Baylor, ranked fifth in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings, is one of three ranked teams in the four-team pool. TCU is the No. 26 team in the latest rankings, while
The Lady Bears, 28-2 overall on the season, won their fourth-straight Big 12 regular season championship this season and last weekend secured its third-straight league tournament title. Both of Baylor's losses this season have come against No. 1-ranked teams, Stanford and Northwestern.
Baylor will square off against Oral Roberts in its first action of the tournament, slated for 6 p.m. on Friday night. The Golden Eagles finished the season at 11-10 overall, claiming the Summit League regular season and tournament championships.
