How has your experience here at Baylor be so far?
"It's been great. I took this job because I just loved Baylor and came down for the interview and fell in love with the school. It's a beautiful place and has a great community. It's been busy because we had to hit the ground running with recruiting, the rebuilding, and really everything. At the same time, I've really enjoyed it so far."

Since your arrival, how has the team progressed?
"I think we've progressed a lot. We started out with a team that needed a lot mentality wise. Fight, heart, determination, and passion were words that needed to be instilled more into their play. They're starting to show that now on more of a consistent bases. People who have watched us play say that we have a lot of fight. That's what I want, that's your starting point. Then you can work on your tactics and how you play and move on to recruiting. So, they've come along really well."

What is the most positive thing you have seen from your team this year?
"I'd have to say the receptiveness to learning. Whenever you bring in a new coaching staff, the players can fight against new ways but these girls have been really receptive. Also, they're just a great bunch of girls. Their character and they're smart and good students. They are just really good people and I think that's a positive."

Compared to your preseason expectations, how has your team matched up?
"They have met a fitness test expectation of passing it which was good. But in the future, I'm looking for them to come into next year more prepared than they were this year. I want them playing all summer long. I want them to be weight training. I want them way fitter than they were this year. However, I know they were more fit than they've been in previous years. I want that a whole level up a year from now. So, my expectations for next summer are that they take it serious. We're going to make it competitive."

How do you feel about your teams chemistry going into conference play?
"I think the team's chemistry is good. They are a great bunch of girls, but they're still a young group. However, conference or non-conference, I try to make all the games the same. I know it's the Big 12, but we are trying to teach these girls to take every game the same. In the way you go about it and approach it the same way. I feel good about their chemistry though."
