Softball Opens 2009 With First Practice

The Baylor softball team opened the 2009 season with a pair of practices on Monday at Getterman Stadium.
"They looked very good today," head coach Glenn Moore said. "They have been waiting a long time and have put in a lot of hard work getting ready for today. I am pleased with the way we reported back for practice."
Baylor returns 12 letterwinners and seven starters off of last season's team, including three-time All-American Brette Reagan. The Lady Bears will face a tough schedule, as they will face nine teams and play 17 games against teams currently ranked in the USA Today/NFCA Top 25 preseason poll.
The Lady Bears will begin the 2009 season on the road for a three-game road trip at No. 1 Florida on Feb. 6-8. To purchase season tickets for Baylor's 28 game schedule, call 245-710-1000.
