Pre-Qualifying Bracket

PACIFIC PALISADES - Baylor sophomore Nina Secerbegovic won her third pre-qualifying match of the ITA Riviera All-American on Sunday in Pacific Palisades, Calif.

Secerbegovic won her second consecutive three-set match at the Riviera, and with her third win earned a spot in the qualifying rounds of the tournament. The sophomore from Tuzla, Bosnia & Herzegovina, defeated Texas' Caroline Larsson with a comeback after dropping the first set 6-4. Secerbegovic controlled the last two sets, winning them 6-2 and 6-1.

"I'm proud of the way Nina is competing at the moment," head coach Joey Scrivano said. "She stayed focused and on task even when she wasn't playing well. It's exciting to see her advance to the qualifying event on Tuesday." Baylor's women's tennis team will continue play at the Riviera All-American with the qualifying round beginning Tuesday, Oct. 6.
