PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Baylor's women's tennis team continued play at the ITA Riviera All-American in Pacific Palisades, Calif. on Wednesday.
Junior Taylor Ormond, who lost her opening round match yesterday, collected her second straight victory in the consolation bracket. Ormond defeated California's Mari Andersson in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4.
"Taylor played some very impressive tennis against a very good opponent," head coach Joey Scrivano said. "The hard work she put in this offseason really showed today."
Later in the day, Ormond teamed up with fellow junior Jelena Stanivuk, but fell 8-1 in doubles against Mahtani and Nguyen from the University of Michigan.
