LUBBOCK, Texas - The Baylor softball team (24-10, 2-0) collected six extra base hits en route to a 6-1 victory over Texas Tech (10-26, 0-4) on a windy Sunday at Rocky Johnson Field in Lubbock. The Lady Bears recorded 12 hits by nine different batters and extended their win streak to six and took the first two conference games for the first time sine 2007.

Nicole Wesley led the way offensively, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and a double, one of six extra base-hits on the day. Along with Wesley, Alex Colyer picked up a pair of doubles, while Megan Turk and Jordan Vannatta each had a double to go with Tiffany Wesley's triple.

Kayce Walker then singled up the middle to bring Wesley home, and a Hana fin single allowed Walker to score from second after taking the base on the steal.
The Red Raiders added one run in the seventh on an RBI-single with the bases loaded, but could not bring make it any closer as Canion retired the final two batters on strikeouts to end any comeback hope.
