WACO, Texas - Art Briles put his Baylor football squad through an hour-and-a-half scrimmage Saturday morning at the Highers Complex practice fields.

The team played in unseasonable cold temperatures and wind for its 12th practice of spring drills. Dozens of fans braved the cold to watch the scrimmage at the Bears' new practice facility.

Standouts during the scrimmage included cornerback Antareis Bryan, who intercepted two passes, receiver Justin Fenty, who caught a 45-yard TD pass from Blake Szymanski and had a long kick return, and two touchdown throws by Robert Griffin.

Other highlights included two short TDs by running back Jared Salubi (one rush, one reception), a forced fumble by end Gary Mason Jr. and a 47-yard field goal by Ben Parks in windy conditions.

The Bears will conclude spring drills Thursday, April 2, with a controlled scrimmage presented by Time Warner Cable. The scrimmage and all spring workouts take place at the Highers Complex fields located behind the Simpson Center on University Parks Drive.

All workouts are open to the public, and fans interested in practice times can contact the football office at 254-710-3058. Remaining spring practice dates are scheduled for March 30,31 and April 2.
