Recap | Box Score

Coach Joey Scrivano

On today's match

"Missouri came out and played some good tennis today and fortunately we played well enough to win. When you are in tournament play that is all that matters just trying to get four points and trying to advance."

On doubles play

"Doubles definitely is not our strongest point and a lot of teams can play. Doubles is all about energy and executing those first strikes. Not everything is going to go smoothly for us down the stretch here. We are going to have to compete. I am proud of the way we competed and bounced back. Missouri is good they are one of the most improved teams in the Big 12. We had to play well to win today."

On finishing the singles matches quickly

"At this point in the season you definitely want to try to conserve your energy and play as disciplined as you can. You don't want to be making these matches into wars. Our girls get that and are able to focus. They focused well today. I think they competed hard. Some of the matches were tough, but like I said it is not all going to be smooth sailing. Overall we did a good job."

On impressive play in singles

"Obviously Kasia (Siwosz) wasn't able to finish, but I really like the way she has been playing singles and doubles. She is playing with more and more confidence. She is becoming more committed to her shot and her game plan. We need her to step up and play that way. Obviously Lenka (Broosova) continues to do what she does and Taylor (Ormond) and Csilla (Borsanyi) finished today. Any time you can finish and get a point on the board, you are doing something special. We've just got to keep doing that and if we do good things are going to happen."

On tomorrow's match

"Regardless of who it (fourth seed Nebraska or fifth seed Colorado) is we are going to have to play well. There are a lot of teams here that are capable of beating us and we got to perform. We got to show up and really play focused tennis, so hopefully we will do that."

Sophomore Taylor Ormond

On today's match

"We played a great doubles and got the point fairly quickly. In singles, I think we all came out ready to play, wanting to see who could finish three singles first. I know I played (Missouri's Jessica Giuggioli) earlier in the year and I went three sets with her. So, I played much better today."
