WACO, Texas - Baylor junior Lenka Broosova has been named the Big 12 Women's Tennis Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday. Broosova wins her fourth career weekly conference award.

Broosova was also named the Big 12 Player of the Week on March 16 and March 23. She matches Zuzana Zemenova as the only players in Baylor history to earn the weekly award three times in the same season.

Broosova compiled a 2-0 record at No. 2 singles and a 3-0 overall record in doubles as Baylor went 3-0 on the week. On Tuesday, Broosova upset No. 36 Kristy Frilling of Notre Dame, 6-0, 3-6, 6-4, as the Lady Bears upset the third-ranked Fighting Irish. Also against Notre Dame, Broosova teamed with Csilla Borsanyi to upset third-ranked Frilling and Kelcy Tefft, 8-6, to help secure the doubles point.

In conference action, Broosova defeated Kansas State's Nina Sertic, 6-2, 6-2, on court two to help Baylor to a 7-0 win over the Wildcats. She paired with Borsanyi for an 8-3 win over Kansas at No. 1 singles, and teamed with Karolina Filipiak for an 8-4 win over K-State on court three.

On the season, Broosova has a 14-3 dual match record, including a perfect 4-0 mark in Big 12 Conference play. She has defeated seven ranked opponents this season and has won seven straight matches.

Fourth-ranked Baylor returns to action on Saturday as the Lady Bears play host to No. 32 Texas at 12 noon at the Baylor Tennis Center.
