Paladino Misses Cut at 2009 U.S. Amateur

TULSA, Okla. - Baylor men's golf junior Cody Paladino missed the cut at the 109th U.S. Amateur Championship Tuesday, shooting a second-round 8-over 78 at Southern Hills Country Club. Paladino finished tied for 177th overall with 22 other golfers at 14-over 154.
Starting from the No. 1 tee at Southern Hills, Paladino bogeyed three of the first five holes, finishing four shots over par on the front nine. The Kensington, Conn., native failed to record a birdie on the back nine, tallying an identical score of 39 (four shots over par) on the back nine.
Paladino and the Baylor Bears will open their 2009-10 season Sunday, Aug. 30, at Golfweek's Conference Challenge in Riverside, Iowa.
