WACO, Texas - Baylor's women's tennis team will begin their season at the Midland Racquet Club Invitational on Sept. 18-20, as part of a five-event fall schedule for the Bears.
"The fall season gives us the time necessary to make changes to a player's game," head coach Joey Scrivano said. "I really love this time of year because you can completely focus on player development."
The Lady Bears will then travel to Pacific Palisades, Calif., for the Riviera All-American which features pre-qualifying, qualifying, and main draw rounds. The pre-qualifying is scheduled for Oct. 3-4, followed by the qualifying round on Oct. 6-7, before finishing up with the main draw on Oct. 8-11.
After the Riviera, Baylor will return home for the next two events with the ITA Southwest Regional on Oct. 16-20, and the Baylor Invitational on Oct. 30-Nov. 1.
"It's always a thrill to play with your fans behind you," Scrivano said. "I know the ladies are excited to be hosting two fall events and want to play their best for the Baylor community."
After spending two weeks at home, the Bears will be back on the road for their final event of the fall, traveling to New Haven, Conn., for the ITA National Indoors.
