MIDLAND, Texas - Baylor's Jelena Stanivuk claimed victories on both of her matches to reach tomorrow's semifinals at the Midland Racquet Club Invitational in Midland, Texas.

Stanivuk won her first match of the day over Pepperdine's Maria Zalameda, 6-2, 3-6, 10-3, dominating the third set tie-breaker. Stanivuk then came back later in the day to defeat TCU's Megan Alexander in straight sets, 6-2, 7-6 (10-8).

In other action at Midland, BU's Karolina Filipiak and Carla Lindlar lost their doubles match. The pair was downed 8-5 by Rice's duo of Jess Jackson and Ana Guzman.

Filipiak and Lindlar each also won their consolation matches in singles action. Filipiak defeated North Texas' Madura Ranganathan by a score of 6-3, 4-6, 10-5, while Lindlar took down the Mean Green's Catalina Cruz, 6-1, 6-2.

Stanivuk will continue action tomorrow in the semifinals at the Midland Invitational.
