The Baylor soccer team (4-1-2) will open up Big 12 play this weekend by hosting in-state rivals, No. 10 Texas A&M and Texas at Betty Lou Mays Field. The Bears will take on the Aggies (5-3-0) on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and the Longhorns Sunday at 7:00 p.m.

"This is going to be the toughest weekend we have had by far," head coach Marci Jobson said. "I am excited to see how our girls respond to this challenge and it will be great to see where we stack up against the best teams in our conference."

The Bears are coming off a 1-0 overtime win at UTSA on Sept. 20. Lotto Smith scored the game-winner in the 98th minute to give Baylor its first overtime victory since a 2-1 win over Delaware on Sept. 23, 2007. BU is led by Smith's four goals and one assist, while Hanna Gilmore has recorded three goals and three assists.

The No. 10 Aggies enter the weekend after a pair of home wins, including a 3-1 upset of No. 2 Portland last weekend. Junior Whitney Hooper leads the way with four goals and one assist, while sophomore Bri Young has three goals and two assists. Kelly Dyer and Kristin Arnold split time in the goal and have a 1.00 GAA.

The Longhorns enter this weekend's play on the heels of a pair of home losses to Washington State and New Mexico. UT has dropped four of its last six. Junior Niki Arlitt leads the way with five points, one goal and three assists, while the defense is allowing 1.75 goals per game.
