The Baylor Hunter Seat team picked up a 6-5 victory over SMU, Saturday at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
The competition began with Equitation on the Flat, as Heather Healy led off with a victory, Kim Woodsum tied the score at two apiece, and with the score still tied, Margaret Beaudoin used an MVP performance to give the squad a 3-2 win.
The Bears and Mustangs then moved on to Equitation over Fences, where Kara Fergusson, Lisa Goldman and Taylor Brown all got victories to earn a 3-3 tie, and pick up the team victory. Goldman earned MVP for her event-high score.
Baylor will next be in action on Feb. 13 at 10:00 a.m. as they host Texas A&M.
