WACO - Sophomore Hanna Gilmore scored on a penalty kick in the 64th minute to even the game en route to a 1-1 double-overtime draw with Seattle (9-4-1) on Friday night at Betty Lou Mays Field. The PK goal was the first for a Baylor (9-5-2) player since 2005.

"Seattle is a really good team and I thought we battled pretty well," head coach Marci Jobson said. "We used a lot of different players to give some kids rest and I think they stepped up and played well. We have four conference games left, and we are just focused on winning them."

The tie keeps the Bears' undefeated home mark in tact at 8-0-2 on the year.

The two teams combined for just five shots in the opening half and went into the break tied at zero.

Seattle struck first in the 56th minute when Emma Levy broke free and found herself one-on-one with the keeper, finishing for a one-goal lead.

Baylor answered in the 64th after a foul in the box set up Gilmore's penalty-kick goal, her sixth of the season, that beat Madison Goverde to her left side to even the score.

The Bears, who used 24 players on the night, nearly took the lead in the 74th minute, but a Natalie Woodham shot went wide of the goal.

BU had another chance in the first overtime, as Bethany Johnston had a great look at goal, but sent it wide to the left.

Courtney Seelhorst came up huge for Baylor with under a minute to go, as a Monique Escalera shot was headed towards the top corner, but Seelhorst got a hand on it and deflected it away.

The Bears will hit the road for their final road game of the regular season, taking on Kansas (5-10, 1-6) on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. in Lawrence.
