STILLWATER, Okla. - After being tied 5-5 after hunter seat, Oklahoma State (2-0) outscored Baylor (3-2) 7-1 in western en route to a 12-6 win on Saturday at the Animal Science Arena. Kendra Vicary and Kara Fergusson combine for four of the team's six points.
The Bears picked up a pair of points in fences, as Vicary (80) and Fergusson (74) each earned wins.
Trailing by one, Baylor evened the overall score with a 3-2 win in flat. Lisa Goldman won MVP honors with an 81, while Vicary (78) and Fergusson (77) each recorded their second points.
With the score tied, the Cowgirls took a one-point lead in horsemanship, winning 2-1. Chelsea Retmier's 74 picked up the lone point, while Meghan Murphy earned a tie with a 73.
Baylor failed to secure a point in reining, losing 5-0, giving Oklahoma State the win.
Baylor will face the Cowgirls again, hosting them on Friday, Oct. 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Willis Family Equestrian Center.
