LAWRENCE, Kan. - Sophomore Hanna Gilmore buried the game-winning goal on a penalty kick in the 103rd minute to lead Baylor (10-5-2, 3-4) to a 1-0 win in double overtime at Kansas (5-11-0, 1-7-0) Sunday afternoon at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex. The PK goal was Gilmore's second in as many games.

The win gives the Bears their best record since the 2000 squad went 10-6-3. This marks the second double-overtime win of the year and the first time a Baylor squad has won more than one double-OT game in a year.

"It feels great to get a big win on the road," head coach Marci Jobson said. "We wore them down with our depth and Hanna was calm with her penalty kick."

Courtney Seelhorst picked up her seventh solo shutout after making four saves on the day, while the blank sheet was Baylor's 10th on the year, tying the 1996 squad for second-most all time.

The goal was set up as Alex Klein was fouled after a great run inside the box. Gilmore slotted the goal to her right and passed the diving goalkeeper for her seventh goal of the year, tying for the team lead with Lisa Sliwinski.

Despite the Jayhawks' 13-12 edge in shots, the Bears won the battle of shots on goal with an 8-4 advantage.

The two teams each got four shots off in the opening half, as the game went scoreless in the first 45 minutes.

Baylor put four shots on goal in the second half, forcing Kat Liebetrau to come up with the saves.

Each team registered a pair of shots in the first overtime, while Gilmore's third game-winner of the year was the only shot in the third overtime.

Baylor will be home for its final three games of the season, beginning with a game against Missouri on Friday, Oct. 22 at 7:00 p.m.
