THE RUNDOWN
First place will be on the line in the Big 12 South when No. 22/22 Baylor (7-2, 4-1) travels to Stillwater, Okla., to face No. 19/18 Oklahoma State. Saturday's game will kick at 11:30 a.m. CDT €ˆand will be televised live nationally on FSN.
Baylor is ranked in the AP €ˆpoll in back-to-back weeks for the first time since 1991 when the Bears were ranked for eight consecutive weeks. The Bears are also ranked in the coaches' poll in back-to-back weeks for the first time since 1995 when they spent three consecutive weeks in the top 25. With bowl-eligibility in hand, Baylor is seeking its first eight-win season since 1991.
With last week's 30-22 road win at Texas on Oct. 30, the Bears defeated a Big 12 South opponent for only the fifth time in conference history; Baylor is 5-67 all-time against the Big 12 South and hasn't beaten the Cowboys since 2005.
Saturday's game will feature the Big 12's top two offenses. Oklahoma State (7-1, 3-1) ranks second nationally in total offense (527.25), third in scoring offense (45.25) and third in passing offense (343.38). Kendall Hunter leads the Big 12 with 146.75 rushing yards per game, while Justin Blackmon leads the Big 12 and the nation with 158.86 receiving yards per contest. QB Brandon Weeden leads the Big 12 with 318.4 passing yards per game and ranks third in pass efficiency (156.1).
BAYLOR-OKLAHOMA STATE SERIES
This is the 29th meeting between Baylor and Oklahoma State. The Cowboys lead the all-time series 16-12 after Oklahoma State's 34-7 victory last season in Waco. OSU leads the series 9-5 in games played in Stillwater; Baylor has lost eight consecutive games at Oklahoma State and have not won in Stillwater since Oct. 7, 1939.
The Bears and Cowboys first met Oct. 25, 1914, with OSU blanking Baylor 60-0. The Bears won the next nine meetings before a 20-7 OSU victory in 1972. The teams have met once in the postseason, a 24-14 OSU victory in the 1983 Bluebonnet Bowl at the Astrodome in Houston.
QUICK NOTES
• Baylor (7-2) is bowl-eligible for the first time since 1995 (finished 7-4 but did not receive bowl bid).
• Baylor is 7-2 for the first time since 1991 (Baylor finished that season 8-4) and has seven wins entering the month of November for the first time since 1985 (Baylor finished that season 9-3).
• Baylor is ranked in the AP €ˆpoll in back-to-back weeks for the first time since 1991. The Bears are also ranked in the coaches' poll in back-to-back weeks for the first time since 1995.
• Baylor's four conference wins are the most by the Bears in the Big 12 era.
• Baylor's three-game Big 12 winning streak stands as its longest conference winning streak since winning three straight Southwest Conference games in 1992.
• Baylor has scored more points in five Big 12 games (201) in 2010 than in eight Big 12 games (104) in 2009.

WINNING IN THREES
With Baylor's 30-22 win over Texas on Oct. 30, the Bears won their third consecutive conference game -- their longest streak in the Big 12 era. Baylor's three straight Big 12 wins stands as its longest conference winning streak since winning three straight Southwest Conference games in 1992. That season, the Bears won 49-7 over SMU (Oct. 3), 41-20 at TCU €ˆ(Oct. 10) and 29-23 vs. Houston (Oct. 17).
A win at Oklahoma State would give Baylor a four-game conference winning streak for the first time since a six-game streak that spanned the final four games of the 1986 season and the first two conference games of 1987.
LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN
With a 30-22 win at Texas on Oct. 30, Baylor won its seventh game of the 2010 season, marking the first time the Bears have won at least seven games since 1995 (Baylor finished that season 7-4). Baylor is 7-2 for the first time since 1991 (Baylor finished that season 8-4) and had seven wins entering the month of November for the first time since 1985 (Baylor finished that season 9-3).
BEARS BREAK THROUGH BIG 12 WIN BARRIER
Entering the 2010 season, Baylor had never won more than three Big 12 games in any season (3-5 in 2006). In fact, the Bears had only three Big 12 victories in the Art Briles era. This season, the Bears have won four Big 12 games -- the most conference victories in the Big 12 -- and are guaranteed their first .500+ conference record since 1995 (Baylor finished 5-2 in the final season of the Southwest Conference).
