WACO, Texas - Baylor's second-ranked women's tennis team will begin a streak of four home matches over a span of eight days on Wednesday when they take on No. 34 Texas A&M at 6 p.m. at the Baylor Tennis Center. The Lady Bears will take on Missouri at 5 p.m. on Friday, then No. 63 Colorado at 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Head coach Joey Scrivano's club continued their torrid streak with their 11th and 12th consecutive victories in wins over No. 5 Northwestern and No. 45 Nebraska. The Lady Bears squeezed out a 4-3 victory over the Wildcats, then blew away Big 12-unbeaten Nebraska 6-1.

Baylor got two singles wins each from Karolina Filipiak and Csilla Borsanyi, along with a great weekend of doubles play to secure the point in both matches. Borsanyi and Lenka Broosova, ranked 10th, won both of their matches by scores of 8-4 and 8-1. The combo of Jelena Stanivuk and Nina Secerbegovic scored 8-2 and 8-6 wins on the doubles courts as well.

The Lady Bears enter a week that features three consecutive Big 12 matches riding a 47-match winning streak over Big 12 opponents. One of the week's opponents, Colorado, was the last conference opponent to beat Baylor, with a 5-2 win on March 4, 2007. Baylor has won 37 consecutive regular season matches, as well as 10 more postseason matches, during the span.

Baylor's singles lineup boasts four ranked players, including the fifth-ranked Broosova, who has a 23-6 overall singles record, playing every match in the No. 1 spot for Baylor. Secerbegovic, ranked 18th, dropped her first match of the spring season against Northwestern, but bounced back for a win against Nebraska to bring her record to 28-3. Taylor Ormond enters the week with a No.-55 ranking and a 18-8 singles record, while Borsanyi is ranked 107th and has a 18-10 record on the season.

Against Texas A&M, Baylor will be matched up against the only other conference unbeaten remaining. The Aggies (10-5, 5-0) have won each of their last two matches, and seven of the last eight. TAMU features three ranked singles players in No. 65 Elze Potgieter, No. 72 Nazari Urbina, and No. 109 Morgan Frank. They also have three ranked doubles tandems, only one of which has been used during Big 12 play. Potgieter and Urbina, ranked No. 29, are 4-1 during the conference season, while the combo of Potgieter and Frank are ranked 39th and the pair of Frank and Lauren Santacroce are 72nd.

Baylor will take on unranked Missouri on Friday. The Tigers will enter the match with a record of 6-12, 1-6 in the Big 12, and have lost nine of their last 10 matches. MU picked up their first conference win of the season last weekend against the University of Kansas.

The Lady Bears will then play No. 63 Colorado, who sits in a tie for sixth in the Big 12 at 3-4. CU fought back from a season-worst five-match losing streak to win each of their last three matches. The Buffaloes are 10-8 overall on the season, and feature two ranked singles players. No. 101 Monica Milewski plays No. 1 singles for CU, and enters with a record of 22-6 on the season, while the 115th-ranked Melisa Esposito plays No. 2 singles and has a record of 19-7.

All three matches will be scored live on www.BaylorBears.com.
