COLUMBIA, Mo. - Baylor (26-21, 6-10) held a 2-0 lead until a five-run fourth from No. 10 Missouri (40-9, 9-6) powered the Tigers to a 9-2 win Saturday afternoon in Columbia, Mo.

Nicole Wesley and Courtney Nieten each had a pair of hits on the day, while Bree Hanafin added her seventh home run of the season

Hanafin put Baylor on the board first, blasting a two run shot over left, scoring Sydney Wilson, who singled, for a 2-0 lead with two outs in the second.

The Lady Bears attempted to add to the lead in the fourth, with Courtney Nieten leading off with the first of her two singles. A sac bunt from KJ Freeland put Nieten at second, but a pair of pop ups ended the threat.

Coutney Repka held the Tigers in check until the fourth when Missouri took the lead with a five-run outburst, beginning with a one-out RBI-single from Marla Schweisberger to cut the lead in half. With two runners on, Nicole Hudson hit her sixth homer of the year, making it 4-2. They added one more on an RBI-single from Abby Vock, as the throw home beat Schweisberger, but the ball was bobbled as she slid in, making it 5-2.

Rhea Taylor led off the Missouri fifth with a triple, and came in on a groundout to second. The Tigers added their seventh run on a bases loaded walk for a 7-2 advantage.

MU added two more in the sixth on a pair of RBI-singles to make it 9-2.

Courtney Repka (18-15) took the loss, going 5.0 innings, allowing eight hits, seven runs, all earned, four walks and four strikeouts. Alicia Vasquez came in for a relief inning with one out in the fourth, allowing two runs on two hits.

Baylor will wrap up the weekend series on Sunday beginning at Noon. That game can be heard live on baylorbears.com.
