46 Student-Athletes Receive Diplomas

WACO, Texas - In graduation ceremonies held at the Ferrell Center on Friday and Saturday, May 14 and 15, 44 Baylor student-athletes from 10 sports earned their bachelor's degree and two received master's degrees. All-told, 1,056 student-athletes have earned their bachelor's degree since Baylor joined the Big 12 Conference in 1996.

The spring graduating class of 46 along with the 41 December graduates brings the total number of Baylor student-athletes graduating during the 2009-10 academic year to 87. Another group of student-athletes will graduate during summer commencement exercises in August.

"We are very proud of these 46 student-athletes who excelled both athletically and academically at Baylor," said Baylor Director of Athletics Ian McCaw. "These Baylor Bears will be remembered as being a part of the most successful era in the history of Baylor Athletics and graduate with our best wishes for much success and happiness in the future."
