SB: Freshmen Enter With Praise

Incoming freshmen Liz Paul and Chelsea Kovich were named to the 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA High School All-America Team. Paul was honored on the first team, while Kovich was on the second team.
Forty-eight student-athletes representing 40 different member high schools from 21 states earned the honor of being named to one of three All-American teams.
Paul, a right handed pitcher from Clements, Texas received the honor on the first team after finishing the season with a record of 31-6 and a 0.77 ERA.
Kovich, an outfielder from Elkins, Texas, was named to the second team after a season that saw her hit .461, steal 27 bases and score 47 runs.
In total, 26 of this year's 48 All-Americans have committed to play softball at the collegiate level, with 24 of those commitments choosing to continue their academic and playing careers at a NCAA Division I institution.
