COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Baylor star quarterback Robert Griffin III threw for a school-record 430 yards and three touchdowns, but No. 21 Texas A&M pulled away late for a 55-28 win over No. 20 Baylor on Saturday afternoon at Kyle Field.

RG3 completed 28 of 40 passes and became the third quarterback this season to set a school record against the Aggies' defense. Griffin III hit Terrance Williams for a career-high 146 yards and a touchdown on eight catches, and Tevin Reese hauled in four passes for 106 yards, including a 43-yard touchdown strike.

Baylor (4-2, 1-2 Big 12) got on the board first when Griffin III found Kendall Wright for a six-yard touchdown to cap a 12-play, 73-yard drive. Texas A&M (4-2, 2-1 Big 12) responded with a field goal and a 68-yard touchdown pass to take the lead, but the Bears answered quickly, as RG3 hit Williams for a 77-yard touchdown to give Baylor a 14-10 lead.

Texas A&M regained the lead for good with Christine Michael's 7-yard touchdown reception, and the Aggies added on when Ryan Tannehill hit Ryan Swope with 33 seconds remaining in the half to extend their lead to 24-14.

The Aggies increased their lead with a 13-play, 77-yard touchdown drive to open the third quarter, but Antwan Goodley returned the ensuing kickoff 49 yards to the Texas A&M 46-yard line. Two plays later, Griffin III responded by finding Reese for a 43-yard touchdown.

The Bears pulled within six points at 34-28 after a 4-yard touchdown run by Terrance Ganaway with 3:50 remaining in third quarter, but the Aggies scored 21 straight to take a 55-28 lead with just under six minutes remaining.

Ganaway finished with 16 carries for 34 yards, accounting for the majority of Baylor's 50 yards on the ground. Wright had seven receptions for 67 yards and a touchdown - his seventh straight game with a touchdown catch. Lanear Sampson caught six passes for 76 yards.

Tannehill threw for 415 yards and six touchdowns on 25-of-37 passing, and four of his touchdowns went to Swope, who caught 11 passes for 206 yards. Christine Michael rushed 21 times for 105 yards and a touchdown.

Baylor has a week off before returning to action on Oct. 29 at Oklahoma State. The Bears' next game at Floyd Casey Stadium is the Homecoming game, when Baylor hosts Missouri on Nov. 5.
