Royal Oaks Intercollegiate Results 
DALLAS - After a rough start to the day, the 28th-ranked Baylor men's golf team bounded back with a second-round 4-under and sits in fifth place Monday after two rounds of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate.
Baylor (287-280=567) finished the day at 1-under. The Bears are one stroke up on sixth-place Tulsa and two strokes up on seventh-place New Mexico. Texas A&M leads the field by seven strokes, while Duke, Augusta State and Oklahoma are separated by only three strokes.
Texas A&M's Jordan Russell owns a two-stroke lead, shooting 9-under 133. Lamar's MJ Daffue is tied for second with Houston's James Ross at 7-under 135. Daffue set a ROI 18-hole record for an individual, shooting a first-round 65, while Ross tied the ROI 18-hole overall mark with a second-round 64.
Behind a career-low 67 in the first round, senior Drew McGee, competing as an individual, is tied for 15th at 1-under 141. Junior Ryan O'Rear and Mikkel Bjerch-Andresen are tied for 21st at even-par 142.
A trio of Baylor golfers - junior Matthew Seligmann, freshman Kyle Jones and redshirt freshman Niclas Mansson - are tied for 34th at 3-over 144. Baylor's leading scorer entering the tournament, senior Joakim Mikkelsen, shot a first-round 70, but finished the day tied for 43rd at 4-over 145. Junior individual Jerry Ruiz is tied for 50th at 6-over 147.
The final round of the Royal Oaks Intercollegiate will begin Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available at www.golfstat.com.
