LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Baylor soccer team (10-2-2, 2-1-1) used a pair of goals from Lisa Sliwinski en route to a 3-1 win at Kansas (8-6-0, 1-3-0) Friday afternoon at the Jayhawk Soccer Complex.

The three goals were the most by the Bears since Sept. 2, 2011 at Louisville (3-0) and the most in a Big 12 game since Oct. 11, 2009 at Iowa State (3-1).

Sliwinski recorded her second multi-goal game of her career, while Dana Larsen registered the other goal for BU, her team-leading sixth of the season. Hanna Dismuke assisted on a pair of goals and now leads the team with four assists on the year.

"We played really well today in every area of the field," head coach Marci Jobson said. "Our set-piece performance was quality and now we have to recover and refocus for Sunday."

Baylor struck first in the 36th minute on a free kick from 40 yards out. Dismuke drilled a ball into the box that found the head of Sliwinski, who put it in the back of the net for a 1-0 lead.

Holding a 1-0 lead coming out of the half, the Bears put away another set-piece goal in the 51st minute on a corner kick from Dismuke, who placed the ball in the box to Larsen for the header goal and a 2-0 advantage.

Sliwinski put the game out of reach in the 72nd minute, as she dribbled the ball up the field and blasted a shot from 18 yards out for the 3-0 lead.

Kansas got on the board just 22 seconds later after a foul was called in the box on BU, giving Whitney Berry the penalty kick goal.

Courtney Seelhorst made four saves on the day, as Baylor outshot KU 14-12.

Baylor will be in action on Sunday evening as it travels to Ames, Iowa for a match against Iowa State beginning a 5:00 p.m.
