WACO, Texas - The Celebrity All-Star Basketball Game, scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 1 has been cancelled due to resolved conflicts in the NBA lockout. Players scheduled to play at the Ferrell Center are once again committed to their contractual obligations with their respective teams.

"It was a great idea to have the event based on the NBA's labor issues, but timing is everything," You Make the Call co-host David Smoak said. "And with the new agreement, those who were tending to the event decided it was in our best interest to cancel."

When planning the event, organizations involved knew that if and when labor disputes were resolved that players would return to their teams for practice immediately.

"NBA fans can now return back to their normal arenas to see their favorite players play live," 104.9 The Beat's Edward Graham said. "Fans wanted the NBA back so this is how it happened."

Fans who have already purchased tickets make take them to Baylor Athletic Ticket Office for a full refund. Tickets purchased online will be refunded automatically by Jan. 31.
