WACO, Texas - All general public tickets for Saturday's Big 12 showdown between 22nd-ranked Texas and 17th-ranked Baylor have been sold-out, school officials announced late this afternoon. Kick-off for Saturday's nationally televised game on ABC is set for 2:36 p.m. at Floyd Casey Stadium.
Baylor students may still claim their tickets on Saturday starting at 10 a.m. at the ticket distribution center on the Northeast corner of Floyd Casey Stadium. More than 7,400 student tickets had been claimed by the end of business Friday and because of demand, no student guest tickets will be sold on game day.
Coach Art Briles' Bears, 8-3 overall and 5-3 in the Big 12, would secure Baylor's first 9-win season since 1986 with a victory over the Longhorns (7-4 overall, 5-4 in Big 12), who are looking to avoid back-to-back losses to Baylor for the first time since the 1991 and 1992 seasons.
The box office at Floyd Casey Stadium will open at 8 a.m. on game-day, with Baylor student ticket pick-up resuming at 10 a.m. and Snickers Touchdown Alley opening at 11:30 a.m. March of the Bears will be held at Noon and the stadium gates open at 1 p.m.
