WACO, Texas - On senior day, Baylor was able to combine for a clean sweep, celebrating its decorated group of seniors with a 7-0 win over Iowa State on Sunday at the Baylor Tennis Center.

Baylor's trio of seniors, Karolina Filipiak, Taylor Ormond and Jelena Stanivuk, led their team to a dominating win over the Cyclones. Filipiak and Stanivuk each won a singles and doubles match, while Ormond won her only match of the day in doubles. As a group, the senior class moved their overall record against Big 12 opponents to 48-1 with the win over Iowa State.

In singles, the 103rd-ranked Stanivuk shut down her opponent from the opening serve with a 6-0 first set. The senior then earned two break points and was consistent on serve for a 6-2 second set and her sixth consecutive win. Stanivuk moved her singles record to an overall mark of 18-2.

Filipiak, ranked 124th, had little trouble with her opponent on Court 5. Taking on Marie Chartier, Filipiak easily won the first set 6-2, then got a late break-point in the second set to close out a 6-4 set. The win was her ninth in a row and added to her team-leading 26-win total.

Baylor's Sona Novakova and Diana Nakic each cruised to victories, combined to lost just six games in their four sets. Novakova, ranked 14th, beat Erin Karonis 6-2, 6-0, while the 38th-ranked Nakic took down Tessa Lang easily, 6-2, 6-2, for her 10th consecutive win.

On Court 2, Baylor's 36th-ranked Nina Secerbegovic took a 15-match win streak into her match with Maria Macedo and was able to hold off the Cyclone. Secerbegovic won the first set 6-1, then held off a charge by Macedo to win the second set 6-3.

The Lady Bears swept the doubles courts, winning the point for the third match in a row. Baylor's set of juniors, Novakova and Nakic, continued their solid stretch in doubles play with an 8-4 win over ISU's on Court 3. On Court 1, a steady match from Secerbegovic and Filipiak clinched the point with a win over the Cyclone's Macedo and Lang.

On doubles Court 2, Baylor's senior duo of Ormond and Stanivuk completed the clean sweep with an 8-6 win. The pair defeated ISU's Simona Cacciuttulo and Karonis.

Baylor will step out of conference at the start of an upcoming three-match road swing, taking on No. 16 Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., on April 14. The Lady Bears will then travel to Boulder, Colo., to take on Colorado on April 17 and to College Station, Texas, to take on Texas A&M on April 20.
