Canion Picks Up Win For USA

SURREY, British Columbia - Baylor pitcher Whitney Canion picked up her first win in international play for Team USA in a 14-2 victory over Australia at the Scotiabank Canadian Open Fastpitch International Championship on Wednesday.

Canion, who was making her second start of the tournament, went 5.0 innings, allowing just two hits, no runs and striking out five for the win. In all, Canion has pitched 11.2 innings, striking out 11 and allowing just one run during the Canadian Open.
