WACO, Texas - While more than 2,000 season football tickets have now been sold through Baylor's 4th of July promotion, there is still time for Bear fans to grab their 2011 season tickets at the special price of $101 before prices return to their pre-July 4th prices on Monday, July 11th at 7 a.m.
As of mid-afternoon Saturday, some 2,020 season tickets had been sold through this promotion, which established a one-week price-point of $101 for non-premium season football tickets based upon Waco's July 4th high temperature of 101 degrees. This price affords fans a discount of nearly 40 percent off Baylor's lowest season ticket price point with seating in sections A, B, C, I, J, K, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and Q at Floyd Casey Stadium.
While the ticket office is closed over the weekend, fans may still purchase tickets online with a limit of eight tickets per person.
Coach Art Briles' Bears, fresh off the program's first bowl appearance since 1994, open their seven-game 2011 home schedule Sept. 2 with a 7 p.m. nationally televised ESPN game against 2011 Rose Bowl champion TCU. BU will also play host to Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 17), Rice (Sept. 24, Parents' Weekend), Iowa State (Oct. 8), Missouri (Nov. 5, Homecoming), Oklahoma (Nov. 19) and Texas (Dec. 3) at Floyd Casey Stadium in 2011.
