WT's Burgic Travels West for NCTC

WACO, Texas - Freshman Ema Burgic will represent Baylor this weekend at the National Collegiate Tennis Classic on Jan. 13-15 in La Quinta, Calif.
Burgic, who was injured during the fall tournament season, will see her first action in the Green and Gold on Friday in the Primary Draw of singles action. She will take on UC-Irvine's Kristina Smith.
A native of Lukavac, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Burgic will look to build on her solid prep career that featured two appearances on the Bosnian Fed Cup team and multiple ITF tournament wins as a junior player.
Burgic will begin action in singles play at 9:30 a.m. on Friday in the first round of the 32-player draw.
