WACO, Texas - No. 11 Baylor added another 4-3 win to bring its string of one-point victories to four against No. 47 Oklahoma on Friday night at the Hurd Tennis Center.

Entering the match with three consecutive 4-3 wins, Baylor continued its trend and moved its record to 16-5 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 play against Oklahoma (9-9, 4-2). The Lady Bears responded to a loss in doubles with the first four points in singles to erase any doubt in the outcome.

"We found a way to win again, and we've got to give a lot of credit to our seniors, who have been the backbone of our lineup," head coach Joey Scrivano said. "We are really proud of the way Jordaan (Sanford) came out in her first match back tonight and got a huge win. It was really impressive. Right now, we've got a team that is competing hard, and we are going to use our off day tomorrow to prepare for a really good Oklahoma State team."

Baylor senior trio in the top three spots in the lineup all won for the fourth consecutive match, and sophomore Jordaan Sanford returned from injury to provide the fourth win.

No. 24 Nina Secerbegovic was the first to post a point for Baylor with a 6-3, 6-1 win over OU's Marie-Pier Huet on Court 2. Sanford then followed on Court 5 to give Baylor the lead for good with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Nicole Long.

With a 2-1 lead, 13th-ranked Diana Nakic and 46th-ranked Sona Novakova finished their straight-set wins within minutes of each other to clinch the win. Nakic defeated the Sooners' Whitney Ritchie 7-5, 6-2 on Court 1, and Novakova came back from down 4-2 in the second set to win 6-2, 7-5 over Mia Lancaster.

In doubles, Baylor claimed the first win with the No. 22 combo of Secerbegovic and Ema Burgic cruising to an 8-2 victory over Lancaster and Abby Melrose on Court 2. The Sooners countered with wins on Court 1 and Court 3 to take the point for their only lead of the match.

Baylor will be back on the hard courts on Sunday against No. 42 Oklahoma State. Doubles action will begin the match at 1 p.m. at the Hurd Tennis Center.
