SCOUTING TEXAS A&M
The Aggies, who have been off since April 17, enter the final Battle of the Brazos winners of three of their last four. Emily Albus leads with a .387 batting average, while Mel Dumezich's 11 home runs and 36 RBI atre tops for A&M. Dumezich also carries a 22-10 record and 1.98 ERA with 244 strikeouts in 211.2 innings.

HITTING HEATING UP LAST 8 GAMES
Baylor's offense has been heating up over the last eight games, as the Lady Bears have hit .296 since April 6. Six BU players are hitting over .300 (Kaitlyn Thumann - .600, Kayce Walker - .542, Sarah Crockett - .455, Holly Holl - .400, Kelsi Kettler - .375, Jordan Strickland - .360).

WALKER BACK ON TRACK
Kayce Walker has reached safely in her last 10 games and brings an eight-game hitting streak into the weekend. During the last eight games, the senior is hitting .542 (13-for-24) with seven runs and four RBI.

OFF THE BENCH AND INTO THE SPOTLIGHT
Glenn Moore went to his bench in this past weekend's series at Texas Tech and found a pair of freshmen gems, Kaitlyn Thumann and Sarah Crockett. Thumann started the final two games, going 6-for-9 with one home run and three RBI. Crockett registered her first career start on Sunday and followed with a 2-for-4, three RBI performance. In all, she went 4-for-6 with five RBI over the weekend.

START FAST
Baylor is 22-3 in games it scores first, and 6-13 when the opponent does. When the Lady Bears hold a lead after four innings, they are 17-0 and 23-0 after a sixth-inning lead.

SPEED DEMONS
The Lady Bears have two of the top seven base stealers in program history on the 2012 squad. Senior Kayce Walker enters the weekend No. 5 all-time with 79, while Shelton is No. 7 with 72. As a team, BU is second in the Big 12 with 71 stolen bases behind Texas' 79.

AGAINST RANKED
Baylor is 5-10 against ranked foes this season. The Lady Bears knocked off then No. 18 Oregon (2-1) and No. 24 North Carolina (2-0) in the same day (3/2) before a 1-0 win over then No. 7 Oklahoma (3/25). The Lady Bears are coming off two last week, a 5-4 extra-inning win over No. 5 Texas (4/18) and an 8-4 victory at No. 24 Texas Tech (4/22).

HOMERS AWAY FROM HOME
Baylor plays in one of the toughest home run parks in the country, and this proves it. In Big 12 games since 2007 the Lady Bears have hit 45 of their 62 home runs (73 percent) away from Getterman Stadium.

SHELTON LEADS THE WAY
Kathy Shelton has been the leader on and off the field for BU this season. The junior leads the team in batting average (.346), runs (32), hits (45), on-base percentage (.442) and stolen bases (22). She ranks second in the Big 12 with her 22 steals.
