BAYLOR'S NFL DRAFT CENTRAL

WACO, Texas - Baylor's Robert Griffin III and Kendall Wright are among the league-record 26 players that will attend the 2012 NFL Draft April 26 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

Baylor head coach Art Briles will also be in attendance. Griffin III and Wright are projected to be drafted within the first 32 picks. RG3, the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner, is expected to go No. 2 overall to the Washington Redskins. Prior to Briles' arrival, Baylor had only 14 first-round NFL Draft picks.

The 2012 NFL Draft will commence Thu., April 26, with Round 1 at 7 p.m. CDT. It will continue Fri., April 27, with Rounds 2-3 at 6 p.m. CDT and conclude with Rounds 4-7 on Sat., April 28, at 11 a.m. CDT. NFL Network and ESPN/ESPN2 will provide constant coverage for all three days. Baylor's Sic `em Sports Productions will be in New York to follow RG3 and Wright; updates can be found at BaylorBears.com and by following the Official Baylor Football Twitter feed, @BUFootball.

According to the seven-round mock draft by Chad Reuter of NFL.com, Baylor is projected to have at least three players drafted in the first three rounds for the first time since 1987 (three in first three rounds). There's only been two instances when three or more Baylor players have been chosen in the first four rounds of the NFL Draft - 1959 (four in first three rounds / three in first two rounds) and 1987 (four in first four rounds / three in first three rounds).

Baylor is one of six schools with multiple NFL Draft attendees, joining Alabama, LSU, Stanford, South Carolina and USC. Defending BCS national champion Alabama leads all schools with five attendees. In all, four players will represent the Big 12 Conference at the NFL Draft.

Baylor and defending BCS national champion Alabama are the only schools to have multiple NFL Draft attendees in each of the last two years.
